6D Eyebrow Embroidery

6D EYEBROW EMBROIDERY

The latest brow trend is to have thick, full and straight eyebrows that frame your face. 6D eyebrow embroidery enables you to have fuller, luscious natural-looking eyebrows so you can wake up with your brows already done without having to apply brow makeup every morning. Well-groomed brows can also give you a more youthful appearance and bring out your eyes for a more flattering appearance.

WHAT IS 6D EYEBROW EMBROIDERY?

6D eyebrow embroidery is a newer eyebrow embroidery technique that originates from Korea and makes use of micro blades to draw tiny strokes with pigment to fill in your eyebrows. This differs from 3D eyebrow embroidery which makes use of a machine to make brows bolder and fuller. 6D microblading creates a more natural semi-permanent eyebrow shape that is thicker and straighter and the strokes typically blend in with your real brow hair.

Threading or plucking your brows regularly while having to draw and fill them in every day can be tiresome. Your brows might look different every day or you may be dissatisfied with the artificial-looking eyebrows that result from using eyebrow pencils.

Eyebrow embroidery is a great alternative to obtain natural-looking brows so that you save time and money when you don't have to apply brow products every morning, and you can get a few more hours of beauty sleep. Full eyebrows with a flattering shape can reduce the appearance of slight facial flaws such as wide-set eyes while directing attention away from the lower half of your face.

6D eyebrow embroidery does not leave any redness or rashes. Our beauty specialist will first shape and trim your eyebrows and draw your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil so that you can get an idea of how your brows will look. Numbing cream is also applied to your skin around the brow so that you will feel a minimal amount of pain during the embroidery, eyebrow embroidery also often requires 2 to 3 hours for the entire process. The specialist then adds colour to your skin and applies lotion at the end so that the area can heal faster.

You also have the option to select the thickness and length of your brows and your beauty specialist will work with you to create the brow look that suits your features the best.

6D EYEBROW EMBROIDERY FAQS

How long does 6D eyebrow embroidery last?

6D eyebrow embroidery can last around one to two years but may last longer depending on the nature of your day-to-day activities. It can even last up to three years if you take care of your embroidered eyebrows well.

Many eyebrow embroidery Singapore salons also offer touch ups so that your eyebrows can last longer for best results. The main benefit of 6D eyebrow embroidery is the ability to have your desired beauty look 24 hours a day without having your brow makeup fade.

Once you get your eyebrows embroidered, our beauty specialist can advise you on how to ensure that they last longer. Avoid touching your eyebrows unnecessarily to maintain the best results for your brows. Wash your eyebrows gently with water and anti-bacterial soap. Most salons will also provide healing cream or lotion for you to apply, but you may want to avoid applying it on wet skin or applying too much.

Eyebrow embroidery is semi-permanent, unlike eyebrow tattoos which are permanent. Eyebrow tattoos can last longer for up to 4 to 5 years or even longer, but they often fade off after a while and develop blue or green pigmentation over time.

What is the difference between 3D and 6D eyebrow embroidery?

The 3D eyebrow embroidery technique uses a machine to create a powder-like effect on your brows. On the other hand, the 6D eyebrow embroidery is a microblading technique that makes finer hair strokes drawn in the direction of the natural brow hairs.

There are more strokes in 6D embroidered eyebrows and they often have a more natural look. These are best for those who are already happy with the thickness of their brow and are simply looking to make them fuller with more dimension.

However, if you have sparse or thin eyebrows, the 3D eyebrow embroidery may be more suitable to give you thicker and bolder semi-permanent brows. Some people also have thin eyebrows from overplucking during a time when thin brows were popular.

3D eyebrow embroidery is also called misty embroidery since it looks similar to having applied eyebrow powder. Another type of embroidery is the gradient brow where a gradient pigment is applied to your skin. It has an effect similar to that of an eyebrow pencil and can make the contours of your eyes look more defined while providing a fuller-looking eyebrow.

Some also find that the 6D eyebrow embroidery is a less painful process because our beauty specialist will use very thin needles to draw your brow strokes.

How long does it take for eyebrow embroidery to heal?

Generally, eyebrow embroidery will take anywhere between 7-14 days to heal if you follow the after-treatment procedures carefully. Micro-bladed areas are open wounds on your skin so you have to be careful.

  • Avoid touching the area and getting it wet. The eyebrow area needs to stay dry at least for a week for best results.

  • Avoid putting ointment or lotion on the brows.

  • Avoid swimming, suntanning, going into the sauna or intensive exercise for at least a week.

  • Avoid facials, chemical treatments, microdermabrasion or Botox for at least a week.

  • Apply your healing cream lightly on the brows two times a day for a minimum of 5-7 days.

  • To prevent any infection, avoid applying make-up and skincare products on your brows for at least two weeks. You normally don't have to apply any more brow makeup as the eyebrow embroidery should produce your desired brow look.

  • When your brows start healing, the area will feel itchy and scabs will appear. Do not touch the area and do not scratch or peel the scabs off for best results. Scratching and peeling the scabs may also cause the colour to come off.

Right after the treatment, your skin surrounding your brows may appear slightly red for a short time. It is also normal for the eyebrow to appear very dark right after the treatment. This is because the pigments in your brows are still raw and will take time to set.

Your eyebrow colour may continue to look very dark for the next few days until scabs become visible. As your brows heal, the colour will lighten but it can take up to a month for the colour to set and the full result to show. It's also normal to have uneven colouring at first as different parts of your skin heal at different rates.

After the microblading treatment, no downtime is needed. The procedure time may vary depending on your salon but it will not exceed three hours. Typically, you have to go in for a touch up after one month when the color has set completely and you may require more touch ups if the colour of your brows fade after that.
